Horseback Riding

Guests take a relaxed 45-minute journey on horseback through the quiet woodlands of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. You will ride along scenic, unpaved trails at a gentle walking pace, which is ideal for beginner and intermediate riders. The natural Florida landscape surrounding the trail is home to local wildlife like deer, ducks, armadillos, and rabbits. Friendly trail guides lead the group and help you get comfortable with your horse before setting out. This activity offers a peaceful escape from the busy theme parks.

The horseback trail ride departs from the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, which is located near the front parking lot at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. If you are driving, you can park in the main visitor lot right next to the ranch. If you are coming from Magic Kingdom, you can take the complimentary water taxi directly to the Fort Wilderness marina, and then board an internal resort bus to the front parking lot. Guests should plan for up to 90 minutes of travel time if using Disney transportation.
