Jiko - The Cooking Place

This upscale restaurant brings the flavors of Africa, India, and the Mediterranean to life. Twin wood-burning ovens anchor the open kitchen, where you can watch chefs prepare flatbreads and appetizers. The dining room features a changing lighting scheme designed to mimic a warm African sunset. After your meal, you can walk out to the resort overlook to see exotic animals like giraffes and zebras roaming the savannas. It is a sophisticated signature dining venue that requires a business casual dress code.

Jiko is located on the lower level of Jambo House, the main building at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can reach the resort by taking a Disney bus from any of the four theme parks or Disney Springs. If you are arriving by car or rideshare, park at Jambo House and enter through the main lobby. Head down the stairs or take the elevator to the ground floor, where you will find the restaurant next to Boma.

The menu blends African, Indian, and Mediterranean flavors. Standout options include oak-grilled filet mignon, seasonal brick oven-fired flatbreads, and a large selection of boutique South African wines.
